Adventures in EatingThe day I took this picture, Cohen held the bottle himself practically the entire feeding. He hadn't kicked the habit of waking up every 3 hours at night so I decided to start him on baby food. First, of course was the rice cereal, but he didn't like the flavor and texture that much. A few days later we tried squash. Most of it ended up on the bib because his little tongue kept pushing it out, but he seemed to enjoy it. Next we tried peas, which he will eat morning noon and night! It has been fun to watch his face as he tried new foods.
Bananas-Not so sure
Applesauce -as long as it's warm
Peas-A++
Squash-depends on the mood
Yogurt-liked the taste of raspberry not blueberry
Avocado-Yuck
Fruit Smoothly-liked, but only a taste for now
Rice Cereal-could do without
Carrots-liked, but stools are way to big
With all this new food, our streak of only changing a poopy diaper once a week is all over. Boo Hoo. Now we have to deal with the actual poop...Yikes! And it is rank!
We were really excited the other day when we discovered a tooth and then two teeth coming in. That night we decided it wasn't so exciting. His teething hasn't been too bad though. It is such a foreign object he is constantly sticking his tongue out to feel them. What a silly boy.
