Ahhh a week in St. Martin (or St. Maarten if your on the French side). In a way we considered this our Honeymoon, since we spent the week after our wedding at the Outer Banks with my entire family and really haven’t been on a vacation by ourselves. I’m sure alone time won’t come frequently once the baby comes so we took advantage of it. The bonus was that we ended up getting to stay at the Oyster Bay timeshare Beach Resort practically for free!! We won't go into detail about the whole G5 Nexus scam, but at least something good came out of it..at least for us anyway.












We used our extra money to go snorkeling and ride the Rhinos (aka wave runners). We explored the island in our small compact “death mobile”, (people around here drive like crazy). I was just glad that we didn’t have to rely on the local hop on hop off buses which just drops you off in the middle of the street. Most nights we turned in early, but we did go down to the lobby for a little karaoke to mix things up. It rained a few days, but the rest of the time it was a hot 90 degrees so we tried to stay near the pool which looked over the island of St. Barts and the turquoise ocean water which was the perfect temperature. We spent some time with Ben's cousin, Melissa and her kids who are living there while her husband goes to medical school. Ben even ate a 4 lb Lobster (most expensive dinner he’s ever had!) I got my crab the next night at the Greenhouse restaurant which was right on the water. It was pretty fitting to eat dinner there as we watched the sunset on our last day.
